Playing with droplets

Playing with droplets

After watching one of PhotoGavin’s videos in youtube, I was inspired to take a picture like this. My good friend Guy and I were excited about trying this out. The setup was a container full of water and a zip lock bag with water suspended on top of it with a small hole pierced using a needle. The backdrop was red and blue cardboard sheets and the flash was pointing on these sheets and falling on the water surface. We used a screw driver to focus the camera to the point where the drop falls on the water surface and then switched the focus to manual and shot this. It was amazing to see the results.
